People Are Essential to Success

At Acumen Learning, since the beginning, we’ve made giving back to the community a priority. We know that without high-quality people, as a company, we couldn’t be successful. In honor of our 20th Anniversary, we’re doubling down and strengthening this commitment with this new, yearlong program.

Acumen in the Community

Throughout our Building Business Acumen course, we introduce the Five Business Drivers, where we emphasize that people are one of a company’s primary drivers for success.

Even with the best-developed plan, if a company doesn’t have dedicated, hardworking people to execute  – it will be nearly impossible for the plan to be successful.

In celebration of our 20th anniversary, we’d like to stand by our word that people make the business and focus on assisting in the creation and sustainment of a diverse workforce. Diversity is essential in business to meet the needs of a diverse client base, in communities around the world!

Our Goal

In honor of our 20 year anniversary, our goal is to spread business acumen to those that may not have the ability to access our program without assistance. Throughout the year, we’ll be working with a variety of non-profit organizations that focus on the full spectrum of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, qualified veteran status, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, and gender identity in hopes of improving diversity in companies around the world.

How We'll Make a Difference

Throughout the year, we’re going to partner with a variety of non-profit organizations. We’ll be giving these groups access to over 20,000 free licenses to our online course, Seeing the Big Picture.

This course is based on the New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling book, Seeing the Big Picture, written by our founder and CEO Kevin Cope. Users will be introduced to the five business drivers, learn how to decipher financial statements, and will get a real understanding of how a company works. They’ll also still get the “in-person” course feel as the course is moderated by industry leaders and includes activities that allow them to learn by doing.

After completing the course, with their improved business acumen, graduates will be able to take the next step in their career and will make a positive impact at any organization.
